I’m writing with a splitting tension possibly migraine headache. While I can’t find some aspirin in my cabinet, I did find a little something for those of you who have booboos!

A couple of weeks ago I was hunting for some new tunes and found out that Cat Power had a new cd, Jukebox, coming out. Naturally, I was ecstatic and pulled out some old Cat Power songs to ease my anticipation. The cd’s on sale now and I took the liberty to make my top five 6 list of Cat Power songs (Jukebox included).

I was browsing for some new summer apparel when I stumbled upon this little do-hickey…
Its a “crafty curio” by a favorite jeweler of mine called Naughty Secretary Club. They say this little jar contains everything—except the glue—for you to make your own vintage creation. There’s vintage bobbles, ring blanks, earring hooks, pin backs, etc.
Okay, okay so maybe I did stumble far from the summer basics I need, but at least it was for a cause. After all who doesn’t need a little vintage art in their life?
Thats what my dearest friend exclaimed at 7:05 this morning and even though I was tired and never one to search for big money, I couldn’t argue. It got me thinking.
Because, boy I could stand a change.
In a fantastical way, the rearranged furniture in my room won’t suffice this time. Happy New Year! I am ready to embrace you 2008!
Today, I looked in a lockbox of mine to recount all I’ve saved over the past year only to find my piggy bank had shrunk. Curses. I’m short $359 to be exact. Thats disappointing.
No matter–I’m sure that my new pair of t-straps and uber cute wedges will be able to comfort me!
